Build a Strong Foundation in the Japanese Language

At EDO Academy, our Beginner Japanese Language Courses (N5 & N4) are designed to give students a solid start in mastering the language. These levels focus on essential grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and listening skills needed for daily life, travel, study, or work in Japan.

What You’ll Learn

N5 Level – Entry Basics

Reading and writing hiragana, katakana, and ~100 basic kanji
Introduction to basic grammar and polite expressions
Simple conversations: greetings, directions, daily activities
Listening practice with slow, clear Japanese

CN4 Level – Elementary Proficiency

Understanding around 300 kanji and 1,500+ words
Building confidence in grammar and reading short texts
Conversational skills for everyday situations (school, shopping, transport)
Listening and responding to spoken Japanese in real-life contexts
